In order to get a feel for making a website decided to start practising with some free website designing pages. I found a website called Wix.com and it was a very useful website because it allowed me to design a mock up of the sort of website I want to produce. I chose a template that I felt fitted with the bands ideology, the template was simple yet it reflected the bands personalities and traits that their fans would want to see. Having a website for the band will increase the interactivity of the fans and Henry Jenkins theory about convergence culture because it brings old and new media from websites and music together. This makes it possible for the audience to view the music video on the website which wouldn't have been possible many years ago, and having this sort of advantage makes it easier for the music to be heard which will increase its chances of being put onto radio stations and television programmes. When editing the already made webpage I decided that it needed more colour, I chose a very light green for the band title and changed the font called "Fredericka the Great" because I thought that it looked professional yet still represented the band and the genre of music they make. I decided to keep the Unicorn/Horse logo from the original webpage because I thought that even though it looked quite simple it was still unique and different. Using this logo, or one similar to this, it will help increase the bands reputation because it can also be used on synergistic products that have been made from the band and sold to the public and their fans. This will create a greater profit for the band them-self and the company they partner with in order to make merchandise and other things that the fans will be interested in buying, and new technologies such as websites support this idea which will make it easier for the band to become more well known.
There are different sections on the webpage for pieces of information, I haven't filled any of the information in because I wasn't sure on what to write so I left the instructions there instead. But this section of the webpage is going to include some band information, and the section on the right is for tours dates and information on how to buy tickets for the chosen date. The website would meet the needs of a youth demographic because it is different, the font is unusual and this will attract an alternative audience member due to the size and the capitalism of it. This itself is alternative because on lots of other band websites the titles are in lower case letters with one single capital letter at the start of the title, having the whole title in capital letters connotes that this band is different and that will attract a youth demographic to this website.

The bottom part of the webpage includes some pictures of the band because this interests the audience, which is good because I don't want the website to be boring and unattractive to the audience. The tabs on the bottom row will take the viewer to particular pages where they can browse at different things that interest them. There are also links to social networking sites that the band are featured on, this includes Facebook and Twitter which links to the multi-platform approach. This is because, not only is the band now known on a website, but they're also known on pages that millions of people around the world use everyday, which will eventually increase their popularity amongst the public.
